disney4us Posted April 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Hello! We are considering a WESTERN Caribbean cruise this Fall. Which month would have better weather? A late September or late October cruise? TIA!

voyager70 Posted April 9, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2012 I would definitely choose late October as the hurricane season is winding down at that time. Temperatures are basically the same.
sg1phileshipper Posted April 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Can't speak for October, but September, was very hot and very humid. It wouldn't stop me from taking another Caribbean cruise in September though. Seas were very calm and the thunderstorm we experienced while leaving Labadee was gorgeous to watch while sailing through it :D. Enjoy your cruise Cindy
Sequim88 Posted April 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Aside from hurricane season reason a lot might depend too on where a person is coming from. If far north October could be getting cool enough to make a warmer climate more enjoyable (before returning to the freezer:(). But... less chance too of school breaks in September. Many school systems have teacher workshop breaks that families plan vacations around so researching those for all states can be useful if wanting fewer kids on the ship. Sky616 Posted April 9, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Our last cruise was in October in the western caribbean and I remember the sea being the calmest I've ever seen on it on any of our cruises. Maybe it was just that week.
