AI's & Snokeling?

Captain Carnival

The AI's along the malecon will have a lot of sea grass and the snorkeling is better out on the reef a short ways from shore, but the channel is busy with traffic, so IMHO, not exactly the ideal spot. AIs south of the malecon, Almaplena and Maya Chan, will also experience the sea grass but have less off shore traffic.

Again, just my O, but I think a snorkeling/jungle beach break excursion that goes up north to Uvero Beach would be a better bet to see fishes and sea life.

And better yet an off shore snorkel excursion via a boat off the pier in Mahahual would be the ideal, as they can take you out to the barrier reef. Look up Maya Palms or try one of these sites: http://costamayacruiseexcursions.com/CostaMayaSnorkeling.htm
