Anybody use their Carnival Master Card points to Pay Pre Paid Gratuties?

....If so, how did it work? did they send you a check or something after you got on the ship? I redeemed my points for both me and the DH for a 7 night cruise in May. And that 300 and some bucks we could use on the cruise. I just wanna know, how they go about "giving" that back to you.

 

I tried calling Barclay Card tonight. But i was on hold for about 15 minutes and just didnt feel like waiting any longer. So i figured i would ask here.

Log in to your Barclay Card account and just redeem the points toward what you want (Rewards tab at top). OR you can redeem them for on board credit which would also cover gratuities. :) It's pretty easy to follow once you're on the site.

i personally would redeem for the $100 credit as it is a better bang for your points. at least it was last time i checked a few months ago.

 

i have redeemed for a few $100 credits as well as some onboard gifts etc.

 

i do know that you must use points to pay for your entire party in the cabin using points...or at least that's the fine point online so just be aware of the small print associated with it.

 

i figured i would be better to charge my grats. to the card, earn my bonus points that way because you earn the bonus points for charges on your s&s account using that card. clear as mud? lol.

I believe it is better to use your points for reduction in outstanding balance but leave all charges to sign and sail card for double points.
