skiorcruise Posted April 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Is anyone having problems with the Carnival Web Site today? Others in my group decided on a specific shore excursion, and called me so we could sign up also. Everytime I try to pull it (or other excursions) up, I get a mostly blank page that asks me to select the time and at least one passenger. No times or passenger names are there to select. We cruise in 3 days, so I know the excursions may be getting full. My computer has been slow loading pages lately, but not this slow. Is it me or is it Carnival? Did you try doing this thru "Cruise Manager" ??? Login Click on "Manage my Cruise" Click on your "Booking Number" Click on "Plan Activities" Click on "View All shore Excursions" Select the "Port of Call" from the DropDown List Available excursions at that port for your specific cruise should be listed. ken
Mizzouaholic Posted April 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2012 I think its the Carnival site. Ive been trying to go to look at shore excursions for my cruise and the page just goes blank. It has worked a few times but most of the time I am just getting a blank page. Hopefully they get it fixed soon...
skiorcruise Posted April 12, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Yes, going through Cruise Manager. I'll try again a few times in the next hour or so, in between laundry, errands and packing for my Saturday flight. I will report success or failure here as well. Thanks for the replys. CruiserVette Posted April 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2012 This must have just happened. I booked an excursion using the promo code BGD001 (thanks CC members) at 12:30 PM Central time today. No problems.
skiorcruise Posted April 13, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted April 13, 2012 I think it's my main computer. When DW got home from work today, I used her laptop and everything was fine. I had tried my "confuser" just 10 minutes before, and had the same near blank, half loaded screen. I also used promo code BGT001. 10% is another DoD with some change left over. Thanks again, Cruise Critic.
Aplmac Posted April 13, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2012 Sometimes the trouble is at your end. Your computer. It's not as fast as it used to be, is it? Chances are the general 'hygiene' of your Windows operating system is not great and it could use a good going -thru and sorting out! What can you do? Disk Cleanup for starters. And when you've thrown out the junk that Disk Cleanup identifies for you then you should Defrag your hard drive. These two simple built-in utility routines alone can help out. ..but to go further, you might want to download Eusing Free Registry Cleaner http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm install it and let it Scan Registry Issues. After it identifies several hundred Registry errors you'll want to Repair Registry Issues Make sure your system updates are indeed up-to-date. Respond positively to the little yellow shield in your toolbar. .

skiorcruise Posted April 13, 2012 Author #9 Share Posted April 13, 2012 Cleanup and Defrag run once a week. I'll make sure the others are on my regular maintenance lists as well. Thanks
