Ketchikan

The core downtown of Ketchikan (rather touristy) including Creek Street is easily walkable, but there are also sights that are worth seeing and doing that are not within a walking distance; Saxman Village, Totem Bite State Park, bear country and rain forest tours, Misty Fjords cruises or flight seeing, kayaking, wildlife cruises, etc.

Some of these may be difficult if mobility impaired so depending on how well you can get around and the length of time in port it is worth it to look at the shore tours available and pick one that suits your particular interests.

Yes you can get a nice experience with an extended walking tour of Ketchikan. I would also stop in at the Discovery Center, Totem Heritage Museum, Hatchery, Library, Dollys House etc. Which you can loop by, include the funicular, and Married Man's trail.

If you have an extended time, then also consider allowing three hours for Totem Bight, Potlash Park. Print out and take with you the totem guide.
