Hi Nita. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]..In the Newest Captain's Club Magazine..there are coupons provided for certain sailings.
The problem was...It said the cruises needed to be booked within a certain time frame ( I had booked prior to those dates given). My TA told us to submit them anyway...and they would then send them in to the cruiseline. So, It was kind of penalizing you for a sailing if you booked early.
Thankfully, they honared it!..It is 125.00 off an outside cabin! I am actually going on this cruise with Ruthann...her screen name is cruise_girl_too and she lives in NJ...we are meeting in Norfolk Friday night Pre-Cruise[img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img].
Should be a great time!

I sent in coupons via the website for TA's. They were welcome coupons for new Captains Club members. When I delivered the documents to my clients, they showed me the package they got from Celebrity. There was a coupon for their sailing May 5 on the Mercury. I sent them about 6 days ago and got a confirmation that they had been applied several days later. It was way past the final payment date, but they were applied anyway. I'm not sure if it will be credited to their credit card or applied as a shipboard credit, either way, my clients will be happy. The coupons were good for $100 for each of 2 cabins.

Hi Lois,

Well I just got my coupon on Thursday. And dropped it off to my TA. I guess because the newsletter has to come all the way to Canada takes a wee bit longer. Fortunately, I was aware of the coupon because I call the CC club on the 14th of April... And booked on the 15th 150.00 US is close to 200.00 Canadian that pays for the transfer and a couple of Marguaritas....

The threads related to the coupons are examples of these boards at their very best. Just think of all the notification, information, suggestions, etc. that were exchanged and take pride in knowing that many people saved a lot of money.

I suspect that many folks who don't know about or use cruise critic did not take advantage of the coupons because they (or their TA) didn't know how to do so effectively.

congrats on your booking Lois! Funny I just requested quotes on this particular cruise today. I've never sailed Celebrity before so I thought this would be a good one to try. If anyone knows about parking at the pier and could share that would be terrific (debating driving vs. flying).

Lois, you may not be able to answer this, but I mailed in my coupon after I booked my cruise (travelocity)to Celebrity for a sailing in December 04. I was told I would see the reduction on my final payment, but I did not get any confirmation from Celebrity that they received the coupon. Do they send a confirmation or do they just deduct it from the final payment and that is your notice that it was received?
