luggage drop off in Whittier

We would like to drop off the luggage at the Pier in Whittier about 1030a, and then go on a PWS glacier boat tour that leaves at 11am. We got our docs today and they say boarding at 12 noon, can we just drop off the luggage and NOT check in, go to the tour and then when we get back do the checking in??

thanks BQ, as we were wanting to use the 2 for 1 in the toursaver and it leaves at 11am.....what time should we leave for Whittier to allow for time for the tunnel and dropping off of the luggage and then dropping off the one way car rental, then walking to the boat..I say 8am, for comfort level of getting it all done...

we are taking the one that is called Prince William sound tour and it leaves from Whittier at 11am, back at 530p. It is in calm protected waters and our friends are not wanting to do the Kenai Fjords tour that is at times in open water. So we thought we might do this one the day the cruise leaves

I would get through the tunnel by 10am so to have time without rushing. The town is right on the other side of the tunnel.
