Nado44 Posted April 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2012 We had a terrific dinner at Trulucks (http://www.trulucks.com) when we were in Ft Lauderdale two weeks ago. Florida stone crab is in season - and they were absolutely delicious. Wonderful upscale atmosphere and service. We were glad we had a reservation (via OpenTable) as the place was packed to the gills on a Monday night.

Other good dockside restaurants are Grill 66 and Coconuts.

Krazy Kruizers Posted April 25, 2012 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2012 We have eaten at both 15th Street Fisheries and Bimini Boatyard. The last time we ate at the Bimini Boatyard -- we thought the food had gone downhill. The restaurant has changed hands about 3 years ago.

TakeMeAway1001 Posted April 25, 2012 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2012 We ate at the Bimini in Oct and the food was very fantastic, we also signed up for their email list and rec'd an email coupon good for BOGO free entree which was a great deal. royalcruz Posted April 25, 2012 #11 Share Posted April 25, 2012 Everybody keeps recommending Trulucks...I agree it's great but it's not on any water like the OP is requesting. Bimini is not as good as it used to be but it's usually pretty good. The group is probably more interested in relaxing and socializing for awhile than getting great fast service so it should be fine. cactusflower Posted May 9, 2012 #12 Share Posted May 9, 2012 How long of a walk is it from Embassy Suites to Bimini Boatyard? Are there sidewalks and is it safe to walk between the two places? Thanks!
Josie2 Posted May 9, 2012 #13 Share Posted May 9, 2012 And I'm not a fast walker. Yes there are sidewalks but its not exactly a scenic walk - its along 17St. SE - a very busy wide roadway - lots of traffic all day/evening/night long. But its certainly walkable.
