Love, love picture reviews! The pics of the serenity deck almost made me cry cause I'd love to be sitting there right now!!

The Holiday Inn Express -West Ashley was a great hotel. I left my car there for the week that we were gone and had no problems. I booked the park and cruise package. The hotel offered a shuttle to and from the cruise port BUT our driver was an @$$. On our way back to the hotel he informed that I could really benefit from Weight Watchers........that pissed me off :mad: and then about a mile from the port we stopped to pick up a hooker :confused: and then we dropped her off at an apartment complex. Our driver gave her money and his business card.....I thought that was quite odd :rolleyes:.

 

WOW!! This guy was really looking for a big tip, huh? HOW RUDE!:eek:

Awesome review! I read all the ones with the pics included first.

 

I LOVE Key West as a stop but usually it also comes with the Bahamas which are not really my fave. Kino sandal factory is THE BEST!!! I have been thinking about sandals I had gotten made for me there long ago when we stopped there on a prior cruise. Sadly they have worn out.

 

Sorry about your window issue. We took a lengthy break from CCL due to a similar issue that went unresolved even with repeated calls, letters, emails. I had 14 cruises with CCL in and thought I would have at least gotten some sort of response but I digress.

 

We are doing a family cruise with all 6 (yep I said SIX) kids in Dec 2013 on the Sunshine out of NOLA so I am willing to kiss and make up with CCL because the Sunshine looks totally AMAZING and I am looking forward to see if I can recognize any of the old Destiny in her.

 

I also want to comment that you look like one of those people who has amazing energy and even when things don't go as planned (hooker, rude cabbie, window breaking, etc) it becomes a funny vaca story later on. Keep having fun and post a review of your upcoming B2B!

 

I couldn't believe that the ladies at KINO Sandals made me a pair while I waited because I needed a pair that were a little wider. That was SO COOL!!!!!

 

Yeah we wrote a letter to the captain before we disembarked but nothing has come from it. We never received an e-mail or anything. I was quite surprised by that.

 

The Sunshine looks like an amazing ship. We were also looking at the Sunshine for December 2013. I love the idea of a 3 deck high Serenity Area :p

 

Thank You so Much for your kind words. I wasn't going to let the broken window ruin our vacation. Our cab/shuttle driver was quite goofy but to each his own I guess :rolleyes: I will definitely post a photo review of our back-to-back cruises.

Take in a picture on the Carnival Colors so they know what they look like. I told my nail tech that I wanted the colors of Carnival Cruise Lines. She looked at me like I was crazy :eek:

Um no......he didn't get a tip from me. Our driver was a little goofy. I felt like saying my vacation is over and I had to haul my suitcases all over the ship in the heat just to get out here to you so you could make fun of me.

We are booked on the Sensation in Dec. in a porthole room. This is our first cruise and I am getting excited but this makes me a little nervous. It took me a WHILE to finally convince DH to go on a cruise and if something like this happens it will cause one of those "I told you so" moments and he won't want to cruise again. I guess I better stay on my knees praying for good weather and nothing like this happens from now until then. I LOVE picture reviews because I get to see the ships. Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to keep your door decoration's on? I would like to put some things on our door but I don't want to mess it up either. I'm almost afraid to use tape and i can not remember what the doors on the Fantasy were made out of!

When are you going to be on the Sensation in December?? We are going to be on the Sensation on December 9th sailing

The doors on the Fantasy are metal doors. We used packing tape and it worked just fine with no problems. Just be sure to pull everything tight over the door

It is wonderful that you are able to cruise with your Dad...your photos made me miss my Dad, he never went on a cruise before he died but I know he would have absolutely loved it.

 

Your photos of Key West were great and I can taste that delicious key lime pie. Love Key West, so much to see and do. Key West should be on everyone's bucket list.

 

If you like the Fantasy, I'm sure you will also enjoy sailing on the Sensation. I believe the two closest hotels to the Port are the Radisson and Residence Inn. We have stayed at the Radisson and it was fine and had a nice pool area and we could see our ship from our bedroom window. Did they have rotisserie chicken on the outside Lido deck on the Fantasy? They have it on the Sensation and it is very good and available every day for lunch. This is where they have the carving station also and they had a big honkin' turkey one day with all the fixins, amazing!! We attended Tea Time on the Sensation and really enjoyed it, yummy desserts. They had a band and singer performing all Motown music one night near the casino bar and I never saw so many people leave their slot machines to get up and dance, lots of fun.

Thank You so Much for your kind words. We enjoy cruising on the smaller, older ships. We had a blast on the Fantasy.........and especially in Key West.

I love travelling with my dad. He is my cruising buddy. We do just about everything together :).

I can't wait to be onboard again. We are going on a back-to-back on the Ecstasy and Sensation in December. We are staying at the Comfort Inn in Cocoa Beach. I just booked it over the weekend. It has a nice pool, close to the beach, and it is close to Ron Jon Surf Shop :p I love shopping there

I've heard some good things about that Comfort Inn. Have a great cruise with your Dad and I know you will enjoy the Sensation or any other ship you sail on because your outlook and attitude won't let you have a bad time.

Thanks for checking out my review. I'm glad you liked it. I will be on the Ecstasy 5 weeks from today and on the Sensation 6 weeks from today. This will be our first back-to-back. I will definitely be doing a picture review for both of those cruises.

My dad is my best friend. There is no person that I would rather cruise with. We are like 2 peas in a pod.

Day 1

Our first day onboard we spent the day exploring our new home for the next 6 days. After our first lunch onboard we headed out to the Serenity Deck. The Serenity Deck area would quickly become our place to hang out during the day. The Serenity area is the greatest addition to Carnival ships because it is a nice, quiet area for ADULTS ONLY :p
