What is the major differences between carnival and NCL

IMHO, dining is the least problem with Carnival, as well as service and food. It's ok-to good.

For me the real problem with their large ship Liberty was her design. I know that pool areas on most of the lines usually crowded, but to see crowds and bottle necks everywhere?!

Another thing which took me whole week to adjust on the better planned Miracle were colors... NCL ships have festive bright colors, but some Carnival ships have downright gaudy decor.

I am getting headache just thinking about all this.

I am happy to know this company got rid of Joe Farcus!!!

Compare compare thats is pretty much hard to do. I think it is easier to compare ships to cruise lines itself. IMHO if I have to do I will :-)

Atmosphere=Pretty much the same

Bars=Slight advantage to Ncl

Disco=Ncl and the way

Buffet=CCL

MDR(dinner)= Pretty much the same

Speciality Restaurant=NCL

Shows=NCL for the big shows

Comedian=CCL

Cabins= Pretty much the same except for the high end ones its NCL¸

Pools=Pretty much the same

Staff=Same

Passengers= They are pretty much the same and age group as well

Ships Decor=That is pretty much a personal thing.

I quess for me that sums it. I would go with both lines anytime as long as the price and Itineray is good.

To me that is very personal to like or not a decor on a ship. Actually the Miracle has been one that I loved. The ship had nice vibrant colors and it was easy to get around.

Atmosphere=Pretty much the same

Bars=Slight advantage to Ncl

Disco=Ncl and the way

Buffet=CCL I am not so sure... We found food in buffet on CCL to be overcooked and oversaulted.

MDR(dinner)= Pretty much the same

Speciality Restaurant=NCL

Shows=NCL for the big shows and more smaller scale entertainment

Comedian=CCL

Cabins= Pretty much the same except for the high end ones its NCL¸Carnival has larger cabins.

Pools=Pretty much the same

Staff=Same

Passengers= They are pretty much the same and age group as well

Ships Decor=That is pretty much a personal thing.

NCL Ships with Nickelodeon have much better kids entertainment

I quess for me that sums it. I would go with both lines anytime as long as the price and Itineray is good.
