Hi, I have done this tour when on Capri independently. You arrive at one gathering point and are loaded into small boats. Then you go a short distance to the blue grotto where you enter and tour the grotto. Sometimes due to heavy seas you cannot enter. Frankly, I didn't think it was all that great but Capri is! I would spend my time on Capri.
suec12 Posted May 2, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2012 I would guess that if the description says "going by the entrance" you are not even going to be given the option of transferring to the little boats that take you inside. It might be that when you get back to the marina, you could then, time permitting, go back to the area and then take the little boat in but it sounds to me, that if the Blue Grotto is a must do for you , then the ship tour is not the way it is going to happen.
