Princess train to Berlin

Recommended Posts

Hi

Considering taking a Princess tour to Berlin on the train. I've seen very little about the train ride itself. Can you walk around? Are the seats assigned?

Are you packed in?

Wondering if it's better to take a private tour using a van for transport.

Love to hear your thoughts.

the cruise lines charter older trains to transport passengers to Berlin and the main complaint is that they are not air conditioned[it can get hot in Germany in summer] They are usually also quite pricey

Personally speaking I'd go the private tour route

2 years ago we used SPB for a private coach tour which included tour of Berlin itself.I got together a group of 12 via the roll call and SPB added another 4 from another ship in dock the same day[with our permission]

From memory it was just over 100 euros each

just be aware they put groups together on a 50 seater bus to Berlin itself-we had a group of 20 one of 16 and one of 4

once we got to Berlin we were split off into smaller vans with our individual guides
