Conquest questions.

I am very excited, having just booked the Conquest out of NOLA in November. It will be my wife's 50th birthday and retirement cruise. I have a couple of questions for anyone who has sailed the Conquest. Do the have an Indian food station at the buffet? The Splendor does and the food is terrific. Also where can I smoke my stinky cigar on board? Is there a cigar lounge? Also any tips about the ship would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

joeyancho, my DW and I are also cruising on the Conquest this November 11 out of NOLA. Everything I have read indicates that the Conquest will just be coming out of drydock with the 2.0 upgrades. I believe the upgrade places cigar smoking in one of the lounges, I just forget which one it is. I read it somewhere on the CCL site when I was researching cigarette smoking for my DW's habit. Can not help with the resturant but we wil have Guy's Burgers on board. Happy sailing.

Never did the buffet, so I can't answer that question. However, you are sailing after the 2.0 upgrades so you should be able to find information on the various eating opportunities that will be offered when you sail.

Smoking is no longer allowed in the cabin. After the 2.0 upgrades, smoking will no longer be allowed on Lido, either. That's a real bummer for me because I very much enjoyed my morning coffee and cigarette on the Lido each morning. You will have to go up another deck to smoke. You may also smoke on your balcony if you have one. When I was on, there was a lounge just outside the comedy club lounge (5 - aft) that was a smoking lounge. However, I never once saw any entertainment, music, etc. in that lounge, just smokers - cigar smokers included. There is also an area of the casino where you may smoke - some slot machines and a portion of the bar. That bar was always crowded!

I hope it won't be taken away, but I was able to smoke on the third deck, outside starboard. Just go through the double doors and there are benches and even ashtrays!

I'm going on the Conquest in December, so would love to hear how it all worked out for you.

Have a wonderful time!

We've been on the Conquest, but a few years ago. I do not remember an Indian food station. There may be some of that type food at the buffet or on MDR menu. Please let us know about the smoking policy after 2.0, we are thinking of booking Conquest next year & are curious about the new areas to smoke after 2.0. We'll book a balcony, so we'll smoke out there if neccessary. But we used to enjoy our coffe & smoke on Lido.

Enjoy your bday & retirement cruise.

We are also on the Conquest this Nov (4th ) and are excited about cruising right after the 2.0 upgrades. Looked at the list of upgrades and didn't see any indian restaurant. Smoking is going to be very limited from what I can tell. Maybe we all will be on the same cruise, there are 6 of us (ages 56-22)
