I am wondering about the hump cabins on the 8th deck on AOS.

 

Was wondering if there any noise issues when staying so close to stairs and elevator?

Noise from elevator areas is not an issue on Adventure. They are located in an alcove type area on not right in the cabin passengways. We always try to book as close to the elevators as possible and we never hear a sound. The hump on deck 8 is a GREAT locaton.

We have been in a number of hump cabins on both Voyager and Freedom class ships and noise has NEVER been an issue.

 

Great location as far as we are concerned.

 

The one downer about hump cabins, the forward cabins from the middle of the hump seem to be a bit windy out on the balcony due to wind speed and speed of the ship when at sea.

It's not clearly shown on the deck plans, but the stairs and elevators are in their own foyer....very convenient!!!

We were on the Freedom in January, deck 9 on the hump. We had two connecting cabins neither balcony was exceptional windy and no noise from stairs etc. It was a great location and I would recommend either deck.

Center hump is great, wind not a problem. The ONLY time we have encountered wind as a problem was with hump cabin foward the center cabins.

 

We personally like deck 6 as it is only one flight of stairs down to the promenade. There is NOTHING wrong with any center hump cabins!!!

We had a center hump cabin on deck 7 and it was perfect! Absolutely no noise and a 10 second walk to the elevator was the best!!
