When to leave for Athens airport?

We are staying 1 night post cruise in Athens at Athens Gate and have an 11:30 AM flight the next day. There are 6 of us and we have a driver arranged to pick us and take us to the airport. First time in Athens, so not sure what time we should have the driver pick us up. What do you suggest?

No later than 8:00 a.m. that will get you there about 2 hours 45 minutes before departure which is about right for an international flights.
