Hotel in Barbados November 2012

I am still trying to decide where to stay in Barbados for two nights pre-cruise. I've read a lot on Tripadvisor and am still uncertain what makes sense. We do not want to spend $750 per night for a hotel, and the Hilton is not the type of experience we want. Can anyone suggest a hotel or B & B for two adults that is quiet, safe and on the beach relatively close to Bridgetown and restaurants.

Thank you.

Before we had a permanent residence on the island, we'd stay at Coconut Court Beach Hotel down in Hastings much of the time.

Good prices (should be less than US$150/night in November), clean rooms and a very nice beach. Halfway between Grantley Adams airport and Deep Water Harbour. Oh, yes, it is quite safe.

Check it out and have a great time on your holiday! :)

Island Inn is almost on Carlisle Bay, not far from Hilton

but totally different. http://islandinnbarbados.com/

Nearer to the Port too. ;)

Coconut Court is also v.good. On Hastings Beach

- and if you turn left on the beach in front of the hotel

and start heading East (into the breeze)

you'll quickly come upon the South Coast Boardwalk which will take you up to Rockley Beach!!
