Serenity Deck Population on Spirit to Alaska

I know there are some recent cruisers who have just gotten back from the first Alaska jaunts for her last season in the Americas- My specific question is how crowded was the Serenity deck on the second day out... Wednesday afternoon before dinner to be exact. I'm suggesting a meet and greet back there at that time for our roll call group. Wanted to see if everybody is busy looking for whales or getting ready for dinner at that time. Thanks-

All outside areas that can see the water are crowded on Alaskan cruises, and could be cold. I would suggest one of the bars inside.

you will be out on open water and it will be windy and chilly. there will be others out there but it is hard too say how many. an inside location would probably be better. as mentioned the library of other inside room would probably be better.

Serenity was not crowded on our Spirit cruise. There is an overhang if it is raining. The area under the overhang has couches and chairs which people grab early in the day. The bar area itself was not crowded. We had a hard time finding a place for our meet and greet since some of the bar areas do not have a bartender until later in the day. It did seem like the casino bar had a bartender and was never crowded.

Thank ying ou for the responses. Serenity is on the back of the Lido and I am thinking it will be more protected than the other outdoor areas. Having a bartender around is important though;)

if everyone is dressed accordingly and knows it will be chilly and a little windy you will have a good time. also if the pool isnt heated i wouldnt plan on swimming. but the hot tub if there is one there would be great.

There IS a hot tub back there! I've seen photos of the Aussie revamp and it's very nice... if we have inclement weather we can always move it to the piano bar. Wednesday afternoon is the afternoon before the first formal sea night if I recall from previous postings, so we have to time it so that people have time to get dressed for dinner if they are going formal.
