Hi guys,

new here, taking my honeymoon in sept on the TP. Decided to stay one more night on hte Beachcomber in Papeete. I need help booking for a overwater bungalow. What is the difference between a Motu and a Lagoon bungalow?? the price is about $200 apart, thanks !!!

The Motos are the bungalows next to the lagoon, closer to the main area of the hotel. The other ones are newer and larger and are off by the second pool, a little farther away from the 'crowds'. I vote for those, if you can swing it. $$$

Have a great time ... know you will! :D

we found that upgrades were being offered at checkin, and it was cheaper to upgrade when you get there than to reserve a more expensive room from the start. Of course you take the chance of not having a higer cat. available, but it may be an option for you. All of the overwater bungalows looked beautiful. You will love the resort!
