Is there any difference between VH and VC?

I don't think that there is. Dh and I requested an upgrade from VH and that's what we were offered today. Is there a possibility that a further upgrade may be coming in the next week? (We told our TA that we were willing to pay for an upgrade.)

VH have 7.5 ft deep balconies but with a steel-wall railing. They are in a bad location, far forward and right above the sometimes-noisy show lounge. They have just a shower, no tub.

 

The VC have just a 6 ft deep balcony but with a plexiglas railing. They are between decks of other cabins, which generally means a quieter location. Most of them are not as far forward as the VH.

 

There's no way to predict if you'll get another upsell offer, but if your VH is a guarantee there's a very good chance you'll get a free upgrade if you refuse all upsells.

It's mostly a matter of personal preference. On some itineraries, such as a one-way in AK, some people prefer to be on the land side. With a port side cabin you have a somewhat better chance of facing town when docked in a port, but there's lots of variance.

It's all about location, location, location. Go with the VC.
