Ellaa Posted June 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2012 We are taking a short family cruise with about 20 people- including several kids ages 15-1. I would personally prefer Disney because of the baby pool for my 1 year old but it is out of the price range of some family members. Any recommendations on what ship would be best for everyone? It looks like our choice are: RC Majesty of the Sea, NCL Sky, or Carnival Sensation. I've been on NCL Pride of America and RC Independence of the Seas and liked RC much better. But I know Majesty is an older/smaller ship. I've never been on Carinval.
cb at sea Posted June 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2012 For a 1 year old, a small blow-up pool is great for splashing...and that's about all they need to do. So, don't base your choice alone on pools! I think all of those will do for a 3 nighter....Majesty will have some of the smallest cabins....be prepared for that! The so-called "superior" OV's are only 157 sq. ft....and the standards are 122! That's REALLY tight! Especially, when that includes the bathroom space!! SadieN Posted June 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2012 We prefer Carnival over Royal. The standard OV cabin is 185 sq ft. The balcony cabins are about the same.
