halloween on the Ruby- costume party?

i'll be on the Ruby for Halloween 2012- do they have a costume party and if so- do alot of people dress up in costumes?

Don't know about the Ruby, but on the Ocean Princess they had a costume party on Halloween. Some, but not too many took part.

Last year on the Caribbean Princess, they had a wondeful Halloween party. Great costumes and a best costume contest.

We were on the Emerald Princess for Halloween and they did have a costume parade and many of the passengers wore costumes..especially those that lived in Florida as they did not have to worry about the luggage weight issue. Some Floridians even offered to have fellow passengers send them their costumes via FedEX to their homes and they would take it to the ship..we just brought funny hats. Ship is decorated and there was a great display of baked cakes and goodies in the atrium.

The number and extent of passenger involvement seems to be based on where the itinerary is and the mix of locals onboard due to luggage concerns.

We were on the Ruby last year at Halloween and they did decorate the ship. There were photographers set up and quite a few people dressed up. Our roll call had a great Halloween party in Skywalkers in the afternoon and many came in costume. There was also a Halloween Party later that night where they gave out prizes. DH won for Best Male Dancer but he thinks its because he was the only guy on the floor at the end of the song. :D:p:D
