Hiya, can someone who has recently sailed from Barcelona tell me if security check your bags again on entering the ship ( where they take your photo) Thanks

We have boarded RCI (3 times) and NCL ships in Barcelona and neither line had another security check when boarding the ship.

 

The only check is when entering the terminal.

I think this depends upon the cruise line you are sailing on. The last time we were in Barcelona (December, 2011), there was a security check-- similiar to what you go through at an airport for carry-on luggage and handbags. You did not, however, need to remove shoes, jackets or separate liquids. It was a fast and simple procedure (note: this was done on Regent where they have this procedure when you return to the ship from any port).
