How many points to free drink card

Recommended Posts

Yes, it is ONLY for drinks while you are in the casino. Your card has to actually be in the machine also.

This was my experience on the DREAM and PRIDE.

Also remember you can order any drink with the card (while playing) - I loved ordering the Tirimisu Martinis or Mocha Chocolate Getaways. I found the servers loved it when I ordered expensive drinks since they get a bigger tip.

In the mornings I was originally bypassing the drinks (cause on a sea day I was there at 8am which is generally too early for me plus I was feeling sea sick). The server encouraged me to order a bottle of water and then when I didn't feel like drinking (or needed to sober up) I also ordered cans of pop (the one place coke zero was readily available).

There is also no problem once you have your drink to get up and leave the casino. I did that a couple of times - put my card in, waited for the server, ordered the drink and once I'd signed for it I went off to do something else. Usually when I did that I'd just play low (unless of course I got that "feeling" from the machine :p).

Also, for the smokers, you are NOT PERMITTED TO SMOKE in the casino unless the machines are active. We sat in the casino about 10 minutes after we left port and all of the ashtrays were taken away until we got into International waters and the machines kicked on. Then, they brought the ashtrays and you were permitted to smoke in the designated smoking machine areas...

True you must be at the machine, card in. I'm not a drinker so I would get my husband a beer (sitting beside me, not playing) and give it to him...they never said a word about it. And you can do as someone else said, get the drink then leave. Originally you could get a drink at the Casino bar, but now must be playing.

On the Magic 6/3 people were in the casino smoking area before we sat sail. A lot of people. Didn't put ashtrays on tables by main pool until after muster drill.

We were on the Imagination Memorial Day weekend (two weeks ago), and it was 600 points for the 3-day cruise. In October when we were on the Sensation 3-day cruise, it was 1500 points, so it must be a recent decision. It really does make sense to make the requirement smaller since you don't have as many days, especially considering both of those cruises you're docked in Nassau overnight.

We were on the Sensation in Feb/March. I went to the cage after acquiring over 4500 points, and was told that they do not offer a DOU card on that ship.

You should call before your next cruise. IF you have that many points from this cruise they may give you one when you step on board next time.

I had enough points on my Jan cruise to have a DOU card waiting on me when I cruise in July. It "used to be" 3000 points, but with all the changes, it may be more. I'm thinking he may have said it's 5000 now; but sounds like you had that. Doesn't cost anything to call and ask b4 your next cruise.

I am assuming that is how many it was. 1000 points is 10.00 cash back, correct? Well at the end of the cruise, I closed the player account and received over 75.00. On one machine, I put in 5.00 and started with 500 points. When put my points and money off the machine it was over 4500 credits ( I hit an awesome bonus.)....

I will most definately call before our cruise in August.

it isnt easy on a longer cruise either.

I was amazed at the amount of money my dad spent on our cruise and he was no where near the 1500 points

That just the thing this is just a way for CCL to make more money. If you take all the money that your Dad spent gambling vs how many drinks you could buy with the money that your dad spent gambling.Which one would come out ahead CCL or your dad.
