NCL Itinerary Note about ports

I found this while searching for a cruise:

"Please Note:

Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking.

Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing."

Does that mean that if your schedule to port 8am-6pm, that is going to be cut to 10-4? That can't be right????

I asked that same question and was told that those times are only for initial embarkation the first day of your cruise and final disembarkation the last day of your cruise.

In port you are required to be on board 30 minutes before sailing. I did confirm this by looking at some of the posted cruise daily papers. You should be able to find those for your cruise to confirm.

Have fun!!!

Common question - yes it is worded poorly.

Your are required to be back onboard 30 minutes before the scheduled time. In reality, if you show up 1 minute before, they will let you on - if they have not pulled up the gangplank.

No promises, and of course, very few would ever do this. Just letting you know - the only reason they would deny boarding is due to no gangplank.
