singjenn Posted June 13, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2012 It's been a while since we went on a cruise so I'm having trouble remembering.... Is there a limit to how many bottled soft drinks we can bring on board? Can we just carry them on or do they *need* to go in our luggage. Carry on or checked. Do all rooms have refrigerators? We will be on the Dream.

We will be on the Dream. Your soft drinks need to be in your carry-on luggage, or if they're in cases you can just carry them on. They should NOT be in your checked luggage. You're allowed up to 12 bottles or cans (up to 20 oz) for each person. All the cabins on the Dream have mini-fridges. They're actually mini-bars, so you have to remove the contents or have the cabin steward do it, and then you can use it for your soft drinks. They don't get very cold, but better than room temperature for sure. Nancy
waiting4acruise Posted June 13, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2012 You are allowed 1 12 pak of soda per person. You must carry it on. Depending on the ship you may have mini fridge in your cabin.
singjenn Posted June 13, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted June 13, 2012 Ok..so y'all are saying its perfectly normal to just carry them and not put them in our carry ons? Why should we not put them in our checked luggage? I was thinking we did last time, that we just pulled them apart.
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 13, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2012 Because the regulations now say any drinks must be carried on, not checked. EM

mondello Posted June 13, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 13, 2012 You'll probably be better off bringing a small (12"X12"X12") soft-sided, collapsible cooler if you like your drinks ice-cold. Your cabin steward will provide ice daily upon request.

k2excursion Posted June 13, 2012 #9 Share Posted June 13, 2012 We always bring a small cooler on as well. The steward may or may not keep it filled with ice. Some will do it, some do a very poor job of it. Many people say to "tip" them prior to the service to make sure they do it.
