Has anyone ever received an email from Carnival the night before their cruise that...

...stated they won't be boarding until 1:30 that afternoon?

 

We'll be sailing the Freedom tomorrow, and our check-out time at the FLL Hilton is 11am. I mean, it's fine with me (I like to sleep late) but I don't know if it's better to wait at the port or the Hilton lobby?

 

Any chance they'll board earlier than that (I wonder?)

thats normal, carnival does it to try and ease the crowd at the terminal

 

You can board the ship from 11:30am till an hour or two before sail time

The only other time I heard about it was when Liberty was delayed returning to Miami. Even if that is the case I would take the chance to arrive earlier at the port (around 11 a.m.)... It depends on your personal tolerance for the heat and potential crowds with long waits. As long as I can see the whale tail, I would be happy :)

I dont know about emails, but lots get phone calls.

 

Just ignore it .. meaningless. No one pays any attention. I would still arrive before 11 am.

 

Disregard the email. I guess they hope newbies will wait to get there who dont know better.
