kennyo1 Posted June 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2012 I read on the Carnival website that you can bring on 1 bottle of wine per adult over the age of 21. They mentioned a corkage fee and drinking the bottle at dinner. My question is can you pay the fee, and bring the bottle to your cabin?
Starbright Posted June 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2012 You shouldn't have to pay a corkage fee if you drink the wine in your cabin. Corkage is only if you take the wine to the dining room.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2012 The corkage fee does not apply to your own room but having it in the dining room. Keith
paul929207 Posted June 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2012 We carried on wine to a Carnival ship last summer. Drank it in our cabin. No corkage fee.
CapeCodCruiser Posted June 28, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2012 We would get empty wine glasses from a bar fill them from our bottle and carry them to dinner - no corkage.
emk323 Posted June 29, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2012 There were three of us over 21 so I had three bottles which I kept in my room on ice. I filled a large glass every evening and carried it into the dining room...no fee. After dinner if I wanted another I would simply go back to my room for a refill. Saved a bit of money .....
