marco Posted June 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2012 When Carnival started sailing with mostly reconditioned older transAtlantic ships, did you ever book as a "single" and be assigned to one of the cabins that could hold 4 passengers? Granted it was back in the late 70's and early 80's but I think it was $295 for a week's cruise. I did it 3 times and really never had a bad experience. At least not any worse than sharing a cabin with 3 other people, even if I knew them all.
geocruiser Posted July 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2012 I did that with a friend of mine. We shared the cabin with two other girls. We had a great time.

Rprbp24 Posted September 27, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I had one of those rooms on the Mardis Gras ! It was my very first cruise and the one that was the most fun to date. I shared that room with 2 other girlfriends! It was a blast!
asnowball Posted December 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2012 Four guys on singles cruise on the mighty SS Mari Gras. Had to take an overnight bus to catch the ship due to Regan era flight controller strike. One can only imagine the condition our condition was in upon boarding...;)
