You may want to check out the roll call section and look for your particular cruise so you can talk with others on your cruise. ;)
waltd Posted July 2, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2012 cruis n nonna do you have a pizza place close to you that you and your friends go to? I bet if you asked each and everyone of them what they thought of that restaurant you would get many different answers. Well same with cruise ship food. Everyone has different tastes so for some it's going to be great and others not so great. I can tell you that you will never go hungry and you will find some dishes that are great and some that are so so. As far as tours only you can decide that. You can go on the Princess web site and read about the tours offered and the prices. If you do sign up for a cruise and go on the roll call for that cruise you might hook up with fellow cruisers that are hiring private tour guides that you might join. Usually they are much cheaper than the cruise ship tours. Only down side would be if the private tour guide does not get you back to the ship on time you are on your own to find tranportation to the next port to pick up your ship. What ever you do have fun planning.
1 HappyCruiser Posted July 2, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2012 Assuming the galley crew hasn't changed since April we considered the food to be very good. I have had better desserts on other Princess ships but there desserts were quite passable and typically Princess.
-Lew- Posted July 2, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2012 You should post on the Roll Call for your particular cruise where you'll meet others cruising with you. To find the Roll Call for your cruise: click here, then click on the [name of your ship] Roll Calls, then search the list for the embarkation date of your cruise. Click on it for your Roll Call. Also, you'll find a wealth of information on the Italy Ports Board. Click here to be taken there. Enjoy your cruise... Lew
