Parking in Miami port terminal

I thought I read some where, if you have a handicap sign or sticker for your car, you will be able to park for free? Can someone tell me if this is true or not? Thank you for any info.

Appropriate documentation must be provided to the Toll Attendant upon exiting the parking garage.

 

 

Disabled Parking Checklist / Required Documents

 

 

 

____ State Issued: Driver's License/I.D. Card/Passport

____ Original Parking Sales Receipt/Parking Ticket Stub (No Copies)

____ Authentic Disability Placard/Permanent Disability License Plate

____ Proof of Sailing (Sailing Card or Original Purchased Ticket Issued from the Cruise Line)

____ Letter/Card from DMV-(Dept. of Motor Vehicles) signifying who the Disability Placard is Assigned to (NOTE:applies to states that do not have a Driver's License # on placard!)
