HAL Amsterdam; which port in Shanghai

Does anyone know which port the Amsterdam uses in Shanghai? If we use the port 45 minutes from the city we will make a hotel reservation and spend the night in the city. If we're docked locally, we wll just use the ship for sleeping. Thanks.

You can try emailing or calling HAL to ask, but be aware that plans on where to dock are always subject to change.

We were told that the downtown dock (on the Bind) is being phased out as large cruise ships interfere with the very busy traffic on the river. The Baoshan terminal is way out of the city, but at least when we were there there was a free shuttle service into Shanhai to the park on the Bund.

As previously stated, docking plans can change. The only thing I do know is that it is possible for the Amsterdam to dock near the Bund. We did on the 2010 Grand Voyage. She is not too big to navigate the river. The only drawback to being docked right there was very heavy air pollution from the busy river traffic.
