Sailaway487 Posted July 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Thanks for everyone who voted on the first one, now here is the second one! Decided, with the help of happyv, that I'm going to do one today which will end on Thursday, and I'll also add a new one on Wednesday. Then, the winners from the first three I'll then add next Sunday to find an overall winner. So, here's number two. Choose your favourite out of these three itineraries: Egypt & the Holy Land 2012/13 Marmaris - Ship at Sea - Alexandria - Port Said (for Cairo) - Ashdod - Larnaca - Alanya - Marmaris http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/egypt-and-the-holy-land-itinerary-91.html Latin Gems 2012/13 Bridgetown - Ship at Sea - Oranjestad - Willemstad - Margarita Island - St George’s - Castries - Bridgetown http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/latin-gems-itinerary.html Treasures of the Mediterranean 2012 Palma - Ship at Sea - Olbia - Naples - Civitavecchia (for Rome) - Villefranche - Palamos - Palma http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/treasures-of-the-mediterranean-itinerary-24.html Vote closes on Thursday 19 Jul 2012. Some great ports of call in all but just edging it - the Caribbean for me!
mtt Posted July 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Not done any of those, so gone for the med as this is like our next cruise
happy v Posted July 15, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2012 More difficult today Sailaway. I decided to vote for the one which has the most places of interest for me. Treasures of the Med :).
kalos Posted July 15, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2012 It's the Med for me as well .:) (If I can avoid Naples;))
Sailaway487 Posted July 15, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Treasures of the Mediterranean winning then by quite a majority at the moment. Looks like we could have already an itinerary that gets no votes at all. Any fans of Egypt & the Holy Land out there?
CRUISIN LINDA Posted July 15, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Some great ports of call in all but just edging it - the Caribbean for me! Gotta agree! Love Curacao!
deepsix Posted July 16, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2012 got to be latin gems as nice and hot even at night, so deck parties are great, the people are so laid back in carib also, so you can chill out mannnn! also cheaper onshore
Sailaway487 Posted July 17, 2012 Author #9 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Treasures of the Mediterranean then just narrowly beating Latin Gems. Vote will close on Thursday, so if you haven't voted yet, make sure to do so soon. Thanks Len for the Egypt & the Holy Land vote. Was looking like it wasn't going to get any! ;)
Sailaway487 Posted July 18, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted July 18, 2012 Only one vote making Treasures of the Mediterranean currently winning. Vote will close tomorrow. Will it be the same then? Interestingly that Egypt & the Holy Land only has one vote and that Thomson have decided next year to increase these sailing dates considerably by operating for the whole summer season.

Very true happy v! :) Never thought of that. Perhaps that is what Thomson are thinking too. Most have now done the usual Aegean ports from Marmaris so are now offering something different in July/August/September than before.
Sailaway487 Posted July 19, 2012 Author #13 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Voting is now closed! Thanks again for all who voted. And the results are: Egypt & the Holy Land 2012/13 = 13.33% Latin Gems 2012/13 = 33.33% Treasures of the Mediterranean 2012 = 53.33% And the winner is Treasures of the Mediterranean 2012. This will go up against Pearls of the Aegean 2012 and whichever wins Itinerary Challenge 3 to the final. If you've not already voted, Itinerary Challenge 3 votes will close on Sunday: http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1672816
