6rugrats Posted July 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2012 I think you are saying that you will be traveling with a large number of young people who want to possibly bring their boyfriends/girlfriends, but are concerned that they might not be together by the date of the cruise. So, you want to know what kind of insurance would cover cancellation? Cancel for any reason if purchased from a third party (not the cruise line) will only cover a certain amount of the fare; for the latest Travelguard policies I've purchased, it would reimburse 75% of the nonrefundable costs, not the entire fare. Different policies will have different requirements and reimburse different amounts. A good solution for this is to make the boyfriend/girlfriends pay their own separate costs and make sure if they cancel within the penalty period, they understand they will lose money. Yep thats exactly what I was trying to say... TY So your suggestion is a policy cancel fo any reason, which will pay 75%. Its better than nothing.
