Century refurb?

Hi,

 

Does anyone know when the Century underwent a refurb? Or is she due to go for one soon?

 

I'm looking at booking an Alaska cruise... If anyone has been on her recently, how was the condition?

It definitely needs a refurb sometime. The rooms are somewhat worn (carpet, couch). The public areas looked much better, no wear really seen.

 

Everything on the ship was very clean, and the staff like all X ships was great.

 

We were on the Alaska cruise June 17, and despite the ship being older and more worn than the others, still had an amazing vacation.

2006 was her big revitalization.

There seems to be no itinerary out for the Century from 5/12/13 to 5/19/13. Perhaps a refurbishment? Just a guess, but I would think that if they are going to keep her around for awhile, they would want to spruce up the accommodations a bit.

Indeed, there is nothing listed from April 18 to May 19, 2013.

 

It has been speculated on an earlier thread that that time is for a dry dock.

2006 was a Millenniumization (specialty restaurant, spa cafe, etc.)

Any new refurb would be only to replace soft furnishings, I would

think--no space for Solstice style features.

 

FWIW, sailed transatlantic on her a couple of years ago and was delighted:)

We did the TA with her in 2005 for our honeymoon and fell in love with Celebrity...curious as to how the old gal is doing now.....
