blue_water Posted July 18, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2012 Agreed, Lindquist Beach in Smith Bay. I believe there are restrooms there but no other amenities (or at least minimal). Sapphire Beach is a short drive/taxi if you want to do both beaches, Sapphire offers rentals and some food and drink options and is generally less busy than the other well-known beaches. Good snorkeling spot and nice island views.
O2B@Cagain Posted July 19, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2012 I would add Hull Bay and John Brewer's Beach.

blue_water Posted July 21, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2012 Yes to all except umbrells, there are naturally shaded spots.
JWinKC Posted July 21, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2012 Does anyone know if there are chair and umbrella rentals at Sapphire Beach?? Also, food and drinks for purchase? Our last trip, we rented 2 loungers and 2 sets of snorkel gear for about $35 total (all day rate). Plenty of natural cover from the trees. Servers started making the rounds for drink and food orders by about 11AM. Easy taxi over for $10/person each way. Based on advise here, we headed straight over in the AM after docking, and the place was largely empty. We had our pick of spots. Even in the afternoon it never really got too crowded, even with 7 ships in port! We will likely do the same in Feb, especially if the port is crowded again. Here is a photo from shortly after we arrived. There may have been 10 other people on the whole beach.
