We're going to be in town for 3 days before our cruise. We want to stay in the FQ. Anyone have any experience at the Place d'Armes?

Great location

Bourbon Street

I stayed there once some years ago and I had midnight visitors. I finally ran them out and shoved a towel under the door so they wouldn't return. This was an inside room...not sure about the other rooms. But the location is great and the courtyard is beautiful (or was I should say)

They are all over NO French Quarter with its history.

Heck try Key West with the Roosters visiting you at midnight.

We stayed at Place d'Armes once some years ago for a ball game. Our room was large and it's in a GREAT LOCATION!

 

We like Royal Sonesta better but we couldn't get a room.

We absolutely loved our two night pre-cruise stay there. The rooms were large and had the old french quarter charm. The location cannot be beat as you can walk anywhere in the french quarter from there. Finally, we were pleased with the lack of noise everyone talks about.

 

We plan to stay there on our next cruise in February.
