Need recommendation for snorkeling spot near Kings Wharf

Hello! We'll be on the Explorer of the Seas 9-day itinerary with just a day in Bermuda. We would love to get in some snorkeling. Our first choice was Tobacco Bay, but that seems like too long a trip, especially since it seems the ferry from Kings Wharf direct to St. George doesn't run on a Sunday (when we'll be there.)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a beach where we can snorkel that's not too too far from Kings Wharf? We don't mind getting an early start, but I'd hate to spend an hour there and and an hour back!

While I love the bigger ships, I do miss the days when you could dock in at St. George and Hamilton!

Thanks!

Church Bay, which is South Shore beach slightly closer to Dockyard than Horseshoe Bay is usually considered a good snorkeling spot. However it does have a reputation for rough surf, and is somewhat rocky.

You can take the #7 bus, but please keep in mind that the buses do not run as often or as late as they do on weekdays, so plan your day accordingly.
