FunShipCruiser05 Posted July 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2012 4 hours to the yukon and suspension bridge. Anyone ever done this? Is it just salmon or is there other food? It is 4 hours so I assume will see as much as would on the 8 hour excursions minus a longer stay out there for meals? Thanks if anyone can enlighten me about this tour
Budget Queen Posted July 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2012 The bridge is an easy skip- so so at best. IF This trip, is 4 hours AND has the meal, then it is a summit trip, you will not get into the Yukon. The salmon bake is good, done at Liarsville, a recreated Gold Camp that is completely fake, but enjoyable. They do have alternative food items, have no clue what they are this year? Now if you are looking at an all day trip- the food is gotten at Caribou Crossing, should be a menu online. This would get you into the Yukon and be in the 8 hour range. Budget Queen Posted July 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2012 so this is the summit? what is the point of it then compared to the yukon? Farther equals more scenery, activities- Caribou Crossing, the Lake Bennett Train- no road access etc. The "point" is time and money, It is a cheaper tour, and some people don't want to invest in the time, or both or neither due to not knowing the difference.
