Checked on a cruise we are looking at for January, and it is still the same price.

I am new to Carnival so not sure how price drops really work.

 

Checked my cruise & it is still $759 but would get a $50 OBC (only 2 ppl in my room).

 

Since I have already booked my cruise & paid my deposit; do I still qualify for the OBC or is that only on new bookings? :confused:

Carnival sales usually are not so much about price reduction as they are about free upgrades. The three of us can go from a 8D balcony to a 8G for a total of $20 more. It more about getting a better location for the same $$. I guess that would qualify as a sale.:rolleyes:

Just checked our sailing/cabin category as well...$100 p/p more than our price. :confused:

I booked Magic for Aug 26 YESTERDAY -- I *thought* I received a fair price... 72-hour Sale? Yikes... (at this point my wheels are spinning -- will I receive a credit or refund and do I have to call the TA...)

 

Ah - no worries. It looks like they raised posted prices across the board, then put it all on sale. Net-net for the exact same 8C booking is identical today vs. yesterday (after all upgrades and discounts) -- but without the "sale" the pre-discounted price is actually higher. It's clever marketing though...

Got to agree with you, rarely does it make a difference. 100.00 OBC but the fare cost 120.00 more. I book early saver and then sometimes the rates come down, some times they don't. Julie G.

The cabin on our October cruise is up $200.00 under this "sale".

Booked an ES for the Dream....got $40 credit total for my hubby and myself earlier.....yesterday they had the senior rate up for just 1 day...got $155.83 (odd number I know)...in OBC....we're in a balcony cabin...and I'm doing the happy dance!

It would appear that they think lots of their customers are just plain stupid.

Another non carnival sale. They will give you 100.00 but charge you 230.00 more than the early saver rate. UNREAL

I usually try not to post negative things...but the sale is a joke. I'm watching my daughter's honeymoon cruise for price drops/ES credits. Two days before the sale the price went up $50 pp. Well...the "sale" is dropping the price down again...by $50. Dumb.

Just checked our Oct. on the Sensation and it went up another $10 per person today for the 3 day. Still shows plenty of cabins available.

It's especially funny since the date of the cruise is 8/19/2012. You would have to pay the full fare immediately anyway, so it really doesn't matter that they are offering reduced deposits!

Checked the pricing for our Sept cruise and price has been the exact same for about 10 days. What a joke

Glad we booked our Breeze cruise last Nov. Its now $500 more for 2 people and that"s just the cove balcony and we are on the upper.
