Bar Hours

Hi folks. The hubby and I are booked to sail from Seattle on an Alaska Inside Passsage on the Infinity, August 17. We're in AQ on the 11th deck aft. I'm excited- this is his 1st cruise, my 3rd, but first time on X (was on Norwegian first 2 times). I'm hoping one of you can tell me how many bars are on the ship (Infinity in particular or just X in general) and what their hours are. I'm debating a premium beverage package. We like a cappuccino in the morning along with a mimosa or two while on vacation as well as wine pairings with dinner. How hard is it to get any of these in Blu? We also like to sit at a nice bar any time of day, and I thought I heard that most bars do not even open until 5pm. How active will the pool bar be on an Alaska sailing? Does the Bistro on 5 have a drink menu? When does Cellar Masters open with bartenders? Does anyone have a copy of some recent drink menus? Thanks!

Welcome to Cruise Critic --

You'll want to have a good look 'round the X website descriptions of your ship, where you'll find all the bars listed. The hours vary from itinerary to itinerary, and there's no way of predicting how active the pool bar will be -- there is liable to be someone stationed there from mid-morning on if the weather is ok for people to be outside (you'll see some passengers sitting all wrapped in nice wool blankets they have around the pool). You can order wine and drinks with your meals at Bistro on 5, in the MDR and in Blu (Aqua Spa passengers and Suite passengers only), and at the buffet. Have never tried to order drinks with a meal at Aqua Spa Cafe (open to all passengers) but it may be possible.

Here are the bar hours from another M class ship (the Constellation) but from a Caribbean sailing last year. While this was from the Caribbean the hours are pretty consistent and probably wouldn't change too much from crusie to cruise other than the pool bar and mast bar. On the M class ships the Rendez-Vous lounge is always open from mid morning until very late in the evening - or should I say until very early in the morning. Cafe Al Bacio is the coffee bar but also has a pretty full selection of alcoholic beverages.

Cafe Al Bacio is the coffee bar but also has a pretty full selection of alcoholic beverages. I think the large bar on deck 11 forward listed as REflections above might be a different name on the Infinity, and the pool bar and aft bar (Sunset bar) might be different names as well.

Hi. We were on the May 25 sailing of the Infinity from Seattle. Here are the bar hours, straight from the Celebrity Today daily for the first sea day:

Cafe al Bacio 6:30 am to 1 am

Casino Bar open when the casino is

Cellar Masters 5 pm to midnite

Constellation Lounge 10 am to late

Martini Bar 4pm to late

Mast Bar 11am to 6pm

Michaels Club 4pm to late

Pool Bar 9am to 6pm weather permitting

Rendez Vous Lounge 3pm to late

Sunset Bar 7am to late

You can also get drinks in the Theater when that is open in the evenings and wine, beer and soda I think at a small "bar" inside the buffet when that is in operation.

We loved Alaska, but I wish we had waited until later in the summer. May was a little early weather-wise and we didn't see much wildlife. Too early I guess.

Have a great cruise - you'll love the Infinity! Be sure to attend some of the presentations by the naturalist Brett Nixon if he's still onboard.

Not the same ship, but on Eclipse last winter the coffee shop was open just about all the time the Bistro on 5 was and I think it was 6am to 2am. If we wanted a drink the Bistro didn't have, the server went over to Cafe al Bacio to get it.

The bar in the buffet was open a lot, for morning fresh juice or wine at a late dinner.

I was recently in aqua 11aft on Summit..I would just walk down those external stairs at 7am for a Bloody Mary..and end the evening with a nice cigar and a Remy Martin around midnight ( and plenty of drinks in between during the day) after a couple of days the bar men would see me on the top off the stair platform and have my drink ready by the time I got down the stairs...all this on the premium drink package ( along with an occasional extra cash tip)

Blu wine service was also very efficient and friendly..I am sure it is likewise on the Infinnity!
