imagn Posted July 31, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2012 We are traveling on Royal Caribbean on the 17th and are booked for this tour. We are trying to make a decision about bringing our little one (22 month old daughter) with us to Alaska, and wanted to know if anyone could give us insight into whether we would be able to bring her on the Mendenhall Glacier, Whale Watching & Wildlife Quest. Grandma, Auntie, Uncle and us the parents will all be going on the same tour. They have all offered to help watch her with us, however i dont even know if she would be able to come along. ie does this entail alot of walking/hiking, would it be a bad idea to bring her along? Any info you can share would be most helpful. thanks
Budget Queen Posted July 31, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2012 Not sure exactly what tour this is, but it looks like a regular whale watch and a stop at Mendenhall?? Does this include a flight? IF not, then your aren't going ON Mendenhall. You will view it from the visitor center. The time with this type of combo tour, is usually a 30/45 minute stop. You can get the drop off, then choose to stay longer. Have phone numbers of cabs to call. Again, I do not know what tour you are mentioning- but if a ship tour, then you are on Allen Marine for the whale watch, nice large boats with plenty of space. Would probably be the best option with a unpredictable toddler. Copy and post the detailed description, if you want further information.
imagn Posted August 1, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted August 1, 2012 This is a tour through Royal Caribbean and thank you for providing some good insight. I think from what you say this will be doable to bring the little one with us.
