magandab Posted July 31, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2012 HAL has rolled out a brand new vegetarian menu which includes several vegan dishes. This is in addition to the vegetarian choices on the regular MDR menu (which I've always enjoyed). You do need to order these the day before but you can ask your waiter for the next night's menu and the vegetarian menu and make your decision accordingly. I just love this option. VEGETARIAN MENU Select one option from each section to be served the following evening. Appetizers Lemon and Spinach Ricotta Dip Vegetarian Mezza Plate (vegan) - Baba Ghanousch, hummus, tabbouleh Vegetable Terrine - broccoli, carrot, zucchini, tarragon sour cream Strawberry and Bucatini Bruschetta Vegetarian Sushi Roll (vegan) - avocado, cucumber, red pimento Portabello Mushroom and Chipotle Quesadilla Vietnamese Vegetable Spring Roll (vegan) Curried Vegetable Empanadas Soups Asian Noodle Soup (vegan) Roasted Butternut Squash Soup (vegan) Pasta Fagioli (vegan) Salads Tossed Fresh Garden Greens (vegan) Spicy Lentil and Garbanzo Salad (vegan) Entrees Baked Cheese Polenta with Mushrooms Artichoke Hearts Asparagus, Carrot and Zucchini Tart Baked Vegetable Lasagna Vegetable and Bean Chili - with sour cream Pad Thai Noodles (vegan) Vegetable Jambalaya (vegan) Spinach Palak Curry Sweet and Sour Vegetable Tempura (vegan) Grilled Vegetable and Tofu Kabob (vegan)
1drifter Posted August 2, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2012 Thanks so much for posting this Amy! It is the exact information I was looking for. I think Celebrity also came out with vegan choices available each day, so I feel comfortable sailing either of those 2 lines now.
capncarp Posted August 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2012 WOW!! While DW is lacto/ovo veg, I'm still a carnivore-- but even I could be happy with a meal composed of several of those dishes!:)
sail7seas Posted September 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2012 It is good news. I'm not vegetarian but actually eat that way a large majority of my meals. Given the choice of wonderful vegetarian offerings, I'd opt for that over most other options.
