Hi, any suggestion on what to get and where to get it.

A lot of people mention rum cakes, do they have a lot of alcohol, and

where would you suggest to get it around Grand Cayman. I think we will

be going to Stingray City, Is there any place around Stingray City or near

the cruise port ?

Thanks for your input

Thanks for the reply. have you tried them, are they really sweet. I am mostly thinking of giving it as souvenirs. Where would be a good place to

get on the island, or they are everywhere, cheaper to get there or online?

I have had several of the flavors. I think the chocolate is probably the least sweet. I found the banana and the original quite sweet and they tasted quite rummy. I would probably buy them from the Tortuga store. They are available in almost every store on the island, but there is a better variety and choice of sizes at the main store.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know where the main store is located ?

How about their Blue mountain coffee, have you tried it ?

Any other souvenir you would recommend or general souvenir shops to

get T shirts, beach bags etc ?

There's a store on Church St, which is the main street just outside the port area. It will be perhaps a 5 min walk - to your right as you leave the tender area. They usually have a variety of samples to try inside the store.

The main store is on the main street. Its been a few years since I've been there, so I can't give directions, but if I remember, it isn't hard to find and everyone knows where it is. It was within walking distance of the port.

I haven't tried the coffee.

Last time I was there, I bought a ceramic stingray christmas tree ornament ( it was wearing a santa hat). I don't buy alot of souvenirs so I am probably don't have the best info on that.

thanks for all the input. If anyone has any suggestion , please keep it

coming.

By the way, is there any restaurant around the cruise terminal that you

would recommend for a family lunch ( don't need anything fancy, just

someplace decent and clean)
