Naples - Pizza close to the port

If your starting point is the cruise port (you said you are returning from an excursion to Pompei but didn't specify if it was a ship's tour or DIY) and you are interested in trying Cantanapoli (Via Chiatamone, 36) but don't want to walk the one mile, you can get a bus right across the street from the port.

The bus stop is behind the castle and is called Acton. You could take the 140, 151, 154 or R3 and get off at the first stop after the bus comes out of the tunnel under the royal palace. The stop will be either Morelli or Arcoleo depending on which bus you get on. From either bus stop to the restaurant is three tenths of a mile (south and then east as the road bends).

Hi! We are on a ships tour from the Epic. Thanks again for your help. :)

Can we walk to the train station from the port?

Yes, you can. It's not a particularly pretty walk because the waterfront at that point is all industrial, but it's easy and flat. It's about a mile and a quarter to the Circumvesuviana Porta Nolana station from the cruise port. If you want to make a google map to see where it is you can use these coordinates: 40.849123,14.268748

Answering the original posters question, directly in front of the cruise terminal in the block across the busy street are two restaurants. Pizzeria Castelo St Angelo (around the back) is excellent but a guide also recommended the restaurant right on the corner. There are other restaurants further away but these two are close to the terminal. Maps at cruiseportwiki dot com

Correction on the name of the restaurant above, it should be Trattoria Castel Nuovo. Good reviews on tripadvisor http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restaurant_Review-g187785-d2052735-Reviews-Trattoria_Castel_Nuovo-Naples_Province_of_Naples_Campania.html and website here http://www.trattoriacastelnuovo.com/

From Google street view, the other restaurant is called Sofi but haven't tried it.
