socallisa Posted August 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Can anyone tell me about the workout facility on the Pearl? I'm guessing standard equipment but I thought I read somewhere something about aerobic type classes?
garycarla Posted August 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2012 They have a good assortment of what most would call standard stuff.
sdmike Posted August 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Here are some pictures of the Jewel's gym. I suspect they are very similar. All gyms have classes that you can participate in, usually for an additional fee
socallisa Posted August 8, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Oh wow, that's much larger than I was picturing. Thanks!
miamichic Posted August 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2012 We were there last year for Alaska cruise and the gym was always packed (I think it has to do with the limited outdoor activities! We saw spinning, yoga and boot camp classes We tried yoga and spinning and both were excellent. The did fill up fast so we signed up on first day. gkny Posted August 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2012 It's too bad that gym classes are an additonal fee. Back in the day, they encouraged you to take these classes and they would give you t-****s and extras like that.

So do you have to sign up each day or can you do it all at once on the first day? I would love to get in on the classes so I don't have to deal with running on the treadmill. I'm so not into running. haha. The gym itself costs extra or just the classes? Sorry, I've never really been THAT into fitness on my other cruises and I never paid attention.
