tranquility Posted August 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Are there any don't miss shops in Freeport or Nassau? I am not looking for any particular items but just love to browse. Thanks in advance.
Herfnerd Posted August 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2012 Lots of shops on Bay Street and don't miss the Straw Market in Nassau
Nickymjw1 Posted August 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2012 our last time in Freeport the shop keepers at port Lucaya were asking ridiculous high prices and were not even interested to negotiate. It was a waste of time. Better of waiting to shop in Nassau. In Nassau I prefer the little shops in the cruise terminal because some of them have handmade stuff. CELTICGIRLCRUISER Posted August 18, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Truthfully, I wouldn't get off the ship again in Freeport if it was just to go shopping. It is very purpose built and not much of interest. Nassau is a bit better.
chill6x6 Posted August 18, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 18, 2012 The straw market in Nassau is pretty good but the vendors are about the most pushy I have ever seen anywhere. Little did they know if they would just let me be, I would have purchased WAY more.... Same could be said for Port Lucaya in Freeport.
