It has been a long time since our first cruise, so basically a newbie question

Our first and only cruise was in 2006, an Eastern Caribbean cruise on a Carnival ship, and we loved it. I think we went in November and had no weather problems. We want to cruise again in the Caribbean next year and we are trying to figure out best time to go. I prefer not to go in the summer but we do want to miss the hurricane season. Are May and September fairly good months to cruise?

If the possibility of a hurricane bothers you , Sept is the

Peak of the June to Nov season.

May will have fewer choices for the Caribbean as many ships

that winter in the Caribbean are on their way to more exotic

and profitable itineraries.

However Carnival, RCI and NCL maintain some ships yearound

in the Caribbean.

Lots of ships to choose from Nov thru April in the Caribbean.
