snuggums50 NC Posted August 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2012 My sister and I are going on our first cruise in October leaving out of Norfolk Va. A Bahamas cruise. Anything I want to know as a first timer? Was also trying to figure out how you can see who is on your ship?
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2012 I would do two things. First be sure to post on the Cruise Line Board for the ship that you will be going on. You can get lots of helpful hints there. Secondly, there is a roll call section for Cruise Critic where others on your cruise post. Just go to the Roll Call Section and click on your cruise line, then click on your ship, and then scroll down to look for the thread for the specific cruise you are on and click on that. dorisis Posted August 13, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2012 As far as I know, no passenger list is available, but you can meet fellow passengers if you go to the roll call for your ship and your sailing date. ~Doris~
2Okies Posted August 13, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Cruise Critic will be your friend as you plan your cruise! :) Do as other have suggested and go find your roll call. You will "meet" other members here on cruise critic that will be on your specific cruise. You can chat w/them, get info on what they are doing on excursions, etc. I would also suggest you find the forum for your ports of call, and look through those posts to find ideas of what you would like to do at each of your ports. You can ask questions here, and find out endless information you need for your excursions. Also - just for fun, go the forum for your particular cruise line, and you will find loads of information there also - about the ship, dining, etc - all things regarding your cruise. Cruise Critic is full and overflowing w/information.

GerryW80 Posted August 14, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2012 You get to meet all the passengers mostly at meal times, and the cruise management usually arranges activities and events to bring together all onboard passengers so that they can mix in and socialize so no worries you will have a terrific time cruising:)
