NCTribeFan Posted September 25, 2012 #27 Share Posted September 25, 2012 Thanks for the link(s)!! I'm sure that most here wouldn't like my favorites, so I'm not going to say what they are. And I don't believe anyone here actually asked for recommendations or a critique on what they prefer! You drink what you want and I'll drink what I want, thanks. :p
beerman2 Posted September 25, 2012 #28 Share Posted September 25, 2012 So true on the Bailey's= $60.00 Just ordered a bottle as Brogans is no longer available. Gotta have my coffee with a little "Wake Me Up". Still don't understand how people can compare prices to "Their Hometown Liquor Store"? Carnival needs to make money off of liquor sales to keep the sailing prices down. There was a show on explaining exactly that. Alcohol is a Money Maker for cruise lines. You will still save yourself $100.00 or more by buying a bottle through Bon Voyage rather than paying for drinks.
swimmer_steph Posted September 25, 2012 #29 Share Posted September 25, 2012  Bacardi, Bacardi Limon - $60  $18 at my local liquor store. Any they wonder why so many try and smuggle. Do people still try and smuggle? We haven't cruised since 2010 and I know most everyone we spoke to then brought something alcoholic on board w/them.
beerman2 Posted September 25, 2012 #30 Share Posted September 25, 2012 Yes there are still smugglers out there. But it seems cruiselines are starting to check baggage closer. Even with purchasing bottles for the room I still have my Ritual of buying a Chocolate Martini b/4 dinner every night.

Sargent_Schultz Posted September 26, 2012 #33 Share Posted September 26, 2012 They all have errors and it will be like that until Carnival allows online ordering and publishes an official list. At best, consumers should only consider third party lists as guidelines. Both of those lists have errors on them. Here is the link with correct information listed.http://www.*****/info/carnival/alcohol.php To Order: Call: 800-522-7648 Monday-Friday 9am-6pm EST Overseas Call: 00-1-305-599-2600 (Bon Voyage online ordering is not available for liquor & beer, you must call.) Customer Service is closed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Prices may vary & do not include tax. There may be other choices, so if you don’t see something, call and ask. Order before boarding, this service is not guaranteed to be available once onboard – plan ahead! Due to TX & AL state liquor laws ships departing from these ports can’t deliver alcoholic beverages to your room until they are in international waters. It may even be delayed until the following day. It’s not cheap (about 2 times what you'd pay onshore for a bottle), but it's definitely a lot cheaper than buying individual drinks onboard. Sargent_Schultz Posted September 26, 2012 #34 Share Posted September 26, 2012 We are leaving on the Triumph on Oct. 8th. Is it too late to order Bon voyage liquor? Thanks Absolutely not. Leaving from Galveston, I wouldn't expect it to be waiting in your stateroom. You most likely won't see it before the next day.
SexyK Posted September 26, 2012 #35 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I think its 3-5 days before sailing. So you still have time. Good luck and have a great cruise.:D
Sargent_Schultz Posted September 26, 2012 #36 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I think its 3-5 days before sailing. So you still have time. Good luck and have a great cruise.:D That's safe. I don't know that there really is one. No real deadline is what I usually hear when I ask. The only alcohol they are delivering is from what is already on the ship. It isn't like someone is making a special liquor delivery to the ship. Also you can often order bottles from room service for the same price as from Bon Voyage. The difference? One you have to prepay, the other is charged to your Sail and Sign card. Light bulb! Nah. I think I'll hold that idea secret until after I have had a chance to test it. :p
