Jerusalem and the Dead Sea

If you attempt to do them both you will need to leave Jerusaelam by about one o'clock which will give you little time there. The best thing is to do an overnight in Jerusalem. Our guide picked us up in Haifa , we saw a little of the area and then went to Yad Vasheem and the Israeli Museum. Because we stayed in a hotel we got an early start in Jerusalem the next day and then headed down to the Dead Sea for a swim

I would love to fit in Jerusalem and the Dead Sea from the Ashdod port! Is that too much in one day?

We did much the same as stipmom by renting a car (shared on our RollCall), taking in Massada & the Dead Sea on Day 1, Jerusalem hotel overnite, Jerusalem & back to Ashdod on Day 2.

But just Jerusalem & the Dead Sea on a single day-call I fear would be too much - you'd not get worthwhile time in Jerusalem

I just want to mention that like any city you can spend days in Jerusalem. If it was me I would just concentrate on Jerusalem. Otherwise I feel you will get very little out of the day except to say you've been to Jerusalem.
